Highlights from the March 15 Board meeting.

  • The board adopted an option for board members to automatically donate their board compensation to the Wheatsfield Board of Directors Reversion Account, which is used at the discretion of the board. Most recently the account was used toward the Backpack Program at local elementary schools.

 

  • Wheatsfield made the final payment to the contractor, Harold Pike Construction, on the expansion project! The board would like the thank Harold Pike Construction for their work, and the Wheatsfield members for their ongoing support.

 

  • The store is seeing an upward trend in sales by month, from year to year. February was a strong month, with sales 5% over February 2016 (with one fewer day in the month!). In addition, there were 21,292 shoppers in the store; 14% more than February 2016.
