April 16th Meeting Highlights

  •  Sales in March 2025 were the highest month ever, being 6.31% higher than last March.
  • A total of 52 new equity member-owners and 13 new student discount program participants were added in the March in conjunction with the two week Mini-Member Drive which took place from March 1-15.
  •  In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, Wheatsfield will host events throughout the week including a Plant-a-Seed event on Friday, April 25th (4-6pm) and Saturday, April 26th (11am-1pm) and a Bulk Sale from Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26 with member-owners and student discount program participants receiving 15% off of their bulk purchases and non-members receiving 5% off.
  • With the additional bakery hires last month, the co-op expects to be back on track with bread production by the start of May.
  •  The lease amendments requested by Wheatsfield have received the preliminary approval of the landlord, extending the co-op’s lease another five years starting on July 1 of this year.
  •  As part of IT updates, Wheatsfield will be installing security cameras to help detect shoplifting and theft in the grocery area of the co-op in addition to the cameras that are already in place to protect other areas.
  •  While the impact of tariffs has not been felt extensively yet, Wheatsfield management expects an eventual influence on prices throughout the co-op.
