Chad & Mara making gyros for staff!

February 22 has been declared National Supermarket Employee Appreciation Day across the country.

We want to take the opportunity to let all our staff know how much they are appreciated here at the co-op. When most everything shut down last March, we continued to be open so customers could get their groceries. This past year has been challenging but our staff have been here with us keeping our shelves stocked and our community fed.

To help show our appreciation, we will be hosting lunch on Monday, Feb. 22. Smiles and Gyros will be in the teaching kitchen from 12-2pm making gyros to order for staff. We are excited to be able to support both our staff and another small local business by partnering with Smiles and Gyros for this occasion.

The pandemic is far from over. We know things are extra exhausting and hard most days. Thank you for showing up and being positive. All of you are contributing to our store and our community by being here. Keep being diligent in your mask wearing, sanitizing, and social distancing until we can all be vaccinated. We hope that is soon. We try to say it often, but we know it’s still not enough, THANK YOU for your work, laughter, smiles and support each day.

We encourage customers to send their thanks to you via love notes at the store entrance and on social media. Enjoy some extra kindness next week!
