This class will help you to feed your mind and your body! Learn about the many different types of vegetarian and vegan proteins available to you. Wheatsfield Wellness Manager, Kim McDermott, will discuss the nature of protein, your body’s need for it, and which foods are the best sources. You will also learn to calculate how much protein you need as an individual. Some of the highlighted foods will include tempeh, nuts, quinoa, seitan, pea protein, proteins powders for making smoothies, and some of Wheatsfield’s plant-based meat alternatives from the refrigerated and freezer aisles. Sample some of our favorite meat alternatives! Perfect for life long vegetarians and vegans to flexitarians and those wanting to know more about plant based proteins.
