Class: Functional Dry Needling
October 16, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm| Free
Join Tim Vander Wilt as he discusses the benefits of functional dry needling, a technique that uses a thin filiform needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate trigger points in muscle tissue. Dry needling, as part of an overall treatment plan, has proven effective for Kinetic Edge clients who suffer from muscle pain, tension headaches, whiplash disorders, chronic pain, and tendonosis. Dry needling works to release painful trigger points in muscle tissue and also triggers a healing response in the body to promote improved blood flow and increase oxygen consumption in the muscles. As a result of releasing the tightness, the muscle is able to move more freely and without restriction, increasing overall performance with normal daily, sporting, and recreational activities.
